The Book of Murder The Argentinean author of "The Oxford Murders" returns with a gripping tale of revenge and rivalry. Is literary giant Kloster the subject of insane obsession on the part of his former secretary, or is he Latin America's most clever serial killer? The narrator, a much less succesful writer, tries to uncover the truth in this world of competing realities and gruesome murders.

The Post-American World The author of the bestselling "The Future of Freedom" describes a world in which the U.S. will no longer dominate the global economy. He sees the "rise of the rest" as the great story of our time, and one that will reshape the world. Compelling and thought provoking.

The manual of detection "The Manual of Detection" works as a detective novel, but also as a parody, an alternate reality story, and a magical blend of fantasy and speculation. Imagine a detective tale where the protagonist isn't particularly skilled or even competent -- but he is determined, and Berry does a great job of carrying the story forward even when realiry blurs and the plot gets murky. I thoroughly enjoyed "The Manual of Detection".

The possibility of everything : a memoir Worried about how to handle an imaginary friend's apparent hold on their daughter, Hope Edelman and her husband made the unlikely choice to take the young child to Maya healers in Belize, hoping that a shaman might help them banish this disruption--and, as they came to understand, all it represented--from their lives. In this deeply affecting, beautifully written memoir, Hope explores what they ultimately discover.

Oxford revisited Cartwright depicts the beauty of this historic city and muses on his own experiences there. At the same time, though, this is more than an encomium to an influential place: It is Cartwright’s reckoning with both age and memory. No longer a young man, he examines the walls of this old city for the shadows of his former self and, in broad, powerful strokes, delivers a reflection on the meaning of history, both grand and small.
