The Friends of the Mukilteo Library was founded in 1963 to support library services in our community. After the loss of our library in December of 1994, the members of the Friends joined with the Mukilteo Library Board and other concerned citizens to restore library services. In 1996 the voters of Mukilteo agreed to tax themselves to build a new library and annex to the Sno-Isle Libraries district. On July 27, 1998, the Friends and the community celebrated the opening of our beautiful new Mukilteo Library!
What we do
The mission of the Friends of the Mukilteo Library is to encourage and enhance the partnership between the library and the community.
The Friends of Mukilteo Library are looking for volunteers to help on the Book Sales, Publicity, and Membership committees. The positions do not require a lot of time but volunteers should have an interest in promoting the library and be willing to devote some time to assist with the committee activities.
For more information please contact Friends of the Mukilteo Library president Tony Tinsley.
When we meet
The board meets in the library meeting room at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of the month, September through May. Everyone is welcome to attend these meetings.
