PLEASE NOTE: If you're having difficulty viewing the Employment Application, please download the latest version of Adobe Reader.

Welcome to Sno-Isle Interactive On-Line Application Process Page

The electronic interactive application gives you the ability to 'fill-in' our application on-line.

  1. Using the latest version of Adobe Reader move your cursor to the first field under the last name section and left click to activate the blinking cursor bar.

Macintosh Users: If you wish to type into the form, please make sure to download Adobe Reader v7.0 or later and make sure you use the actual Adobe Reader to view the PDF file. The default built-in PDF Viewer program on the MAC does not work with the enhanced capabilities our our employment application.

  2. Type your information in each field (move between fields using the "tab" key), click check boxes to select.

  3. Completely fill-in employment application on-line including job number, job title, and job location.

  4. Print, sign, and mail or fax to Sno-Isle Libraries by 5 p.m. on the closing date. Submit an application for each position you apply for.

Mary

Hello, I'm Mary.

Ask me about:

"The best part is being able to work with kids. It's what makes this job ME. Each week, we hold a program for children where we read books, sing, practice motor skill activities and make crafts. We do this to get kids in the library, of course, but also to allow us to connect with their parents. That way, we can provide parents the kind of support that will help get kids interested in learning."

"There are three levels of Public Services Assistant (PSA's). A PSA I works at the circulation desk and with customers, whereas a PSA II has added technical support duties. A PSA III works both the circulation desk and provides children's services. I'm a PSA III, so my day is split. Part of it involves processing books and working with the public. The other part is providing children's programming services and community outreach."

"You should be motivated, open to change and dedicated. We are a public agency, so you must have a high level of customer service. And it helps to be outgoing and organized."

"If you are a lover of books, there is no better place to work. Even if you're not, it is a very nurturing and supportive place to work. And the training is great. I am constantly receiving training in my area of interest."

Since I'm right in the middle of graduate school (library science,, most of my reading time is spent with textbooks. When I do have time for fiction, I've been reading classics. I just finished Tess of the D'ubervilles - just as good as when I read it in high school. On the non-fiction side, I recently started House of Cards: a Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess of Wall Street - sobering!
