It is the intent of Sno-Isle Libraries (the Library) to provide library facilities that allot an equitable level of library service throughout the entire Library District. For the purpose of this policy, site selection refers to the process of seeking out potential properties to be considered for possible acquisition and purchase refers to the acquisition of real property. When a site(s) has been identified for possible purchase, the following steps will be followed:
When the Library shares ownership of properties with another agency(ies), the same site selection and land acquisition procedures are followed. However, prior to acquisition, a memorandum of understanding between the parties defining each party's responsibility and authority will be executed.
