How to Enter:

  1. Create a video of a book trailer -- like a movie trailer, but for a book! Your video should be 30 seconds to 3 minutes long, and be about a teen book, or a book that teens enjoy, owned by Sno-Isle Libraries.

  2. Post your Book Trailer video to YouTube.

  3. Submit the form below by April 15, 2008.

THANK YOU for your submissions. The submission time for the contest is ended. Please check the Teen site in a few weeks we'll have updated information. Good Luck!

You must be between the ages of 12-18, and reside and/or attend school in Island or Snohomish Counties, to enter. Videos may not contain content that is inappropriate. Prize provided by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation.

   Having Trouble Getting Started?
  • Don't have a video camera? Ask your school if you can check one out, or use your cell phone.
  • Be careful about using copyrighted music. Try asking a local band for permission through YouTube, or search for music you can use on Creative Commons.
  • Keep in mind that entries will be judged on creativity, adherence to the rules, and the best portrayal of your book. Score extra points for including "available at Sno-Isle Libraries" in your video!
  • For more tips and instruction, come to our Digital Film Making workshop for teens at the Mountlake Terrace Library on March 22.
