Found Juvenile Book Found

4 stars.

Describe the book: Jonah is adopted, and so is his neighbor, Chip. They both receive mysterious letters. At first, they think it's a prank, but as more clues begin to unfold about their history before they were adopted, things begin to add up. What they never realized is that their story involves time travel. They are not who they think they are.

What did you think: I love this book. It pulls you into Jonah's story and doesn't let you go until the end. The beginning gives you the first few clues of the mystery of the kids' birth, and the rest is adding more clues until you know where these characters came from. Through the second half, the pages are loaded with suspense that keep you turning the page.

Who would you recommend it to: Middle-school kids who like mysteries and sci-fi.

The Fire Pony Juvenile Book The Fire Pony

2 stars.

Describe the book: Roy and Joe have always been on the run, until they find the Bar None stables. They get jobs and Roy even has a chance to get his own pony, if he can break it. They discover Roy's pony has incredible speed, so they decide to race it.

What did you think: This book was falsely titled. The only reference to a "fire pony" was at the very end, and it still didn't make sense. It had some good points, where you were afraid for the animals, but this book had almost no suspense until the race. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't read it again.

Who would you recommend it to: Young kids who are looking for books about animals
