Meeting Rooms

Meeting / Study Rooms: There are two rooms available; a small room for 30 people and a large room for 140. The large meeting room features: 140 person capacity, wi-fi, 80 chairs, 9 tables, kitchen, DVD, overhead projector, TV, podium. The meeting room fees as of January 2009 are $95 for the Full Day, $15 per hour with a maximum of 4 hours and a deposit of $100. The small meeting room features: 30 person capcity, wi-fi, 20 chairs, 4 tables, DVD, overhead projector, TV, and podium. The small meeting room is provided at no charge to non-profit organizations and community groups.

The following policies apply: Large – A completed Facility Use Agreement form is required for each event and/or single date. Agreement forms can be obtained from and returned completed to the Parks & Recreation office in Jennings Park at 6915 Armar Road. Use of the room for the purpose of generating personal income or raising of funds for political campaigns is prohibited. Use for the purpose of raising funds for non-profit organizations is accepted provided the non-profit organization furnishes a valid Federal Tax Identification number. The user is prohibited from charging any type of admission or entry fee requirement in any rental facilities owned by the City of Marysville.

Cancellations and/or request for refund must be in writing and received in the Parks & Recreation Office ten days in advance of the rental date. No refunds will be issued if the written request is received later than ten working days prior to the rental date. Refund requests received in writing ten working days in advance of the rental will be refunded less a $5 administrative fee.

Small – The Friends of the Marysville Library Meeting Room is available at no charge to organizations engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual or charitable activities. Use of public facilities for the purpose of generating personal income is prohibited. Use of the facilities for the purpose of raising funds for non-profit organizations is accepted providing the non-profit organizations furnish proof of status under 501 c of the Internal Revenue Code.

Room use will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with library-sponsored activities receiving first priority in scheduling the room.

No admission fee may be charged for entrance to a meeting or program. However, fees for participation in instruction programs, or for supplies or materials necessary to participate in a program may be collected.

Meetings that interfere with the work or other uses in the Library because of noise or other factors will not be permitted. No reservation may be for more than one year in advance. Applications for continuing programs must be renewed every January. The program year runs from January to December.

No individual, group or entity may use the room more than two times in any calendar month. Groups of minors must be sponsored and their meeting attended by an adult. The party or individual(s) signing a Facility Use Agreement assumes full financial responsibility for all damages that occur during or as a result of their usage of the facilities. The user understands that the City of Marysville and the Sno-Isle Libraries shall not be responsible for accidents, injury or loss of personal property.

Quiet Zone / Study Rooms: Yes, the back of the library is designated as a reading area/quiet zone. There is a study room available and may be reserved for two hours per day - only one reservation permitted at a time.


Computer Services

Computers
27 public reservable Internet capable PC's with shared printers, and eight non-reservable catalog only PC's. There is one non-reservable internet PC for teens, one Ready Readers PC for pre-school aged children and one computer for school aged children. All PC's, can access the catalog for research and to place holds on Sno-Isle collections. Internet PC's may be reserved online or in the library.

Software
All reservable PC's are Internet capable and have Google Earth, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Picture Manager software installed.

Color Printers
Color printers are available at the Coupeville, Freeland, Lynnwood, Marysville, Monroe, Oak Harbor and Snohomish Libraries. Customers have the option of printing in color, at a cost of 50¢ per page. Color prints are not included in the 70 free prints permitted to each registered card holder per week. However, all prints from Sno-Isle Libraries catalog and databases, including those done in color, are free. For more information see the FAQ.

Other Services

Adaptive Equipment: One ADA computer. There is also a CCTV Clearview 300 image magnifying unit.

Copier: Yes, color with scanning.

Fax Machine: Yes. Self-service kiosk. Using a debit/credit/FaxCash card (available for purchase at the library), follow basic instructions to SEND a fax. Costs for sending a fax are $1.50 for the first page and $1.00 per additional page. Self-service fax machines are not able to receive a fax.

Proctoring: Yes, must be taken in public, open areas. Proctoring Guidelines.

Reader / Printer: Yes, a Canon 300 Microfilm reader/printer

TTY: No.

Volunteering: Yes, ask at check-out desk for our volunteer coordinator.


Building

Display Cases: There are two display cases in the library: one in the lobby and one at the back of the library near the newspapers. Both may be reserved. The display cases may be used for exhibits promoting the educational and cultural welfare of the community, subject to the limitation of space. It is open to organizations or individuals engaged in educational, cultural, intellectual or charitable activities. Commercial endeavors, political statements, and religious displays applying to one faith or sect are generally not permitted. While it is desirable that groups sponsor art exhibits, one-person shows may be held subject to the approval of the Librarian. No prices will be posted, but contact information may be provided.

The Marysville Library Board reserves the right of final approval for any exhibit or display. The Library Board assumes no responsibility for possible damage or theft of any item placed in the Library. All items placed in the Library are done so at the exhibitor's risk and he or she will hold the Library, the Library Board, the City of Marysville, and the Sno-Isle Libraries harmless from any and all claims arising out of damage or theft of the exhibit. Application to exhibit material in the library shall be made in advance to the Librarian so that approval may be assured and the exhibit may be scheduled for a set length of time. A schedule of exhibits will be kept in the Library. Exhibitors will hang or display their own items on the first day of the month and remove them on the last day of the month. Please inquire at the information desk to reserve.

Bulletin Boards: Any notices of community non-profit events may be posted on the entry Bulletin Board with the approval of the librarian.

Parking: The library has a large paved outdoor parking lot for use by customers using the library. All parking is free with no restrictions. There are four ADA spaces.
