Whidbey Reads is a an annual community-wide reading program to bring Whidbey Island residents together to read and talk about books. The 2013 selection is "West of Here" by Jonathan Evison.

Whidbey Reads 2013 is a collaborative effort between Sno-Isle Libraries, Whidbey Island Friends of the Library groups, and the volunteers from each community on Whidbey Island. Other partners and supporters include Best Western Harbor Plaza, Pacific Northwest Art School, Whidbey Island Arts Council, Wind & Tide Books, and Moonraker Books.

Programs were funded by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation, Whidbey Island Friends of the Library groups, Whidbey Island Bank, and Walmart
