Managing items that you have checked out

Renewing Physical Materials -- Books, DVDs, CDs, etc.

If items are not on hold for another customer, you may renew up to 5 times. Each renewal is for 3 weeks. If there is a request for the item by another customer, the 'Renewals Left' count will change to 0, and the renewal check box will not be avaialble. If all outstanding requests for the title have been filled, the display will change back to allow you to renew and show the correct number of renewals that you have.

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Click on 'Items Out'.
  3. This screen shows a list of all the items you currently have checked out. If an item can be renewed, it will have an empty box to the left of the title.

Note: The items on this list should be listed according to due date. Items with the nearest due date will be listed at the top.

  4. Click in the box next to each item you want to renew. This will add a check to the box.
  5. Go to the bottom of the list and click on the Renew Selected Items button. Alternatively, leave all the boxes unchecked and simply click on the Renew All Items button to renew all the items listed.

  6. The next screen will give you a summary of the results of your renewals. Some items will not renew if there are other customers requesting it or if you have already renewed it 5 times.

Renewing Electronic Media Materials -- eBooks, eAduioBooks, eMusic, eVideio, etc.

Electronic Media materials cannot be renewed. However, you may request them again and check them out if available.
