Quick Links/Related Resources Ready Readers is a Sno-Isle Libraries initiative designed to help parents and caregivers enhance literacy and language development. From the time they are infants, children learn language and other important skills that will help them learn to read. Ready Readers Kits are designed for family childcare providers to share with children and to introduce and model early literacy practices. Each kit includes: 5 board books 12 picture books 1 children’s music CD 1 professional book with developmentally appropriate activity ideas 1 idea sheet with songs, fingerplays and activity ideas 1 puppet to encourage dramatic play Five best practices to prepare children to getready to read include: How to request ready reader kits Because kits are exclusively for family childcare use you will not find them listed in the library's online catalog, nor will you find them while browsing on shelves. To request a kit please call 360-651-7059 to initiate service. A kit will be delivered to your local library automatically at the beginning of every month. You will be notified through email or phone message. Kits check out for 30 days. Due to a limited number of kits they cannot be renewed. You can return the kit to any Sno-Isle Library.
