I got my red touched up last night. I asked my stylist how the move to her new house was going. She proceeded to tell me that she went to their new town's library, which was smaller than the salon we were sitting in. She'd gone in to print something because of course her printer was still at the old house. She and her toddler had gone right before toddler storytime began and both she and her daughter absolutely loved it. They'd never been to a storytime before. She then got really excited and told me "Carol I signed up for a library card right there on the spot." She went on to tell me how cheerful and helpful the staff were and that she was so happy they'd bought a house so close to an amazing library. I felt so proud of her! I'd had such a bad day yesterday, and this made all the negative stuff fade away until there was nothing left but giddiness as I imagined her library discovery through her eyes. I'm an employee at Everett Public Library and this story is about the Lake Stevens library. Way to go, Lake Stevens!
