Access On-Demand STARS Training

Sno-Isle Libraries offers a series of STARS classes, opens a new window every fall, winter and spring. These classes are led by Sno-Isle Libraries staff who are state-approved trainers, opens a new window and have expertise in early literacy.

This autumn, Sno-Isle Libraries is also offering Stories that Sing, a 1.5 credit on-demand STARS class to accommodate busy schedules. In this class, you’ll learn techniques for incorporating music even if you can’t sing and discover new resources for creating musical storytimes and fostering kindergarten readiness and early literacy. You can access this on-demand STARS class any time from October 15-December 15.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Download, view or print, opens a new window the Stories that Sing class handout, opens a new window
  2. View the Stories that Sing video,, opens a new window available on YouTube or viewable below
  3. Look over the song & story links on the handout 
  4. To receive your STARS credit, answer the questions on the final page of the handout and submit them to Kristin Piepho, opens a new window by December 15, 2021
