Welcome to the Sno-Isle Libraries Educator Newsletter for January 2022. In this issue, you will find information about scholarships and financial aid for students, upcoming virtual events, and more. If you have any questions or would like to partner with us, please reach out to your local librarian or contact us using the School Support Form. 

Scholarships & Financial Aid  

As students begin to plan for life beyond high school, Sno-Isle Libraries offers resources to support those financing higher education.  

Get Money for College & Credential Programs: Learn more about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WAFSA).  

Apply for Scholarships: Information about scholarship databases, foundation grants, and more.  


This month, we are highlighting titles focused on Black lives and Black history, as well as new releases for the new year. Do you need a booklist for your classroom that you are not seeing here? Fill out the School Support Form to let us know.

Winter Reading Challenge 2022 

Winter Reading Challenge 2022 is live on Beanstack January 1-31. This year's theme, "Read for a Better World," encourages readers of all ages to explore diversity, empathy, and action through literature and activities. Kids, teens, and adults have unlimited access to "Read for a Better World" themed eBooks the entire month, provided by Lerner Publishing Group. 

Students and educators may sign in or create a free account, choose a book, and start reading. Earn fun digital badges as you go. You can also search for the Beanstack Tracker app on any mobile device. A library card is not required.
