Welcome to the Sno-Isle Libraries Educator Newsletter for June 2022. In this issue, you will find information about Summer Reading, student accounts, and more! If you have any questions or would like to partner with us, please reach out to your local librarian or contact us using the School Support Form.
Summer Reading Toolkit
It’s almost time for Summer Reading at Sno-Isle Libraries! Starting Monday, June 20, kids and teens who read 10 hours will get a free book and vinyl sticker. There are three ways to track reading this year: paper logs, Beanstack online, and the Beanstack app.
There will also be fun, interactive in-person programs and weekly virtual events. We hope you’ll share this with your students and their families. To help, we’ve created a Summer Reading School Toolkit with a short PowerPoint presentation, digital flyers, and themed booklists.
Student Accounts Available All Summer!
To help kids and teens keep reading, Sno-Isle Libraries Student Accounts can be used over the summer. Students can check out 10 physical items and download up to 30 digital items (eBooks and audiobooks) at a time, and more.
School districts with a current student account partnership with Sno-Isle Libraries include Darrington, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Lakewood, Monroe, Oak Harbor, and Snohomish.
If you’re interested in learning more about student accounts for your district, please contact your local library or email Jen Sullivan, Sno-Isle Libraries' Student Success Coordinator.
