RBdigital has Merged with OverDrive Magazines

RBdigital has merged with OverDrive Magazines. All digital magazine can now be found on OverDrive. What does this mean for you?

If you'd like to check out a digital magazine, you can do so through OverDrive Magazines, opens a new window and the Libby app, opens a new window. Step-by-step video instructions for accessing magazines in the Libby app can be found here, opens a new window.

Magazines can be borrowed for 7, 14, or 21 days. You'll have the option to renew a magazine within three days of the end of the lending period. You may borrow the magazine again at any time. Using the Notify Me button will provide an alert every time a new issue of your favorite magazine is made available. If you placed a hold in RBdigital, please replace it in Libby or OverDrive. Magazines do not count toward OverDrive checkout limits, so feel free to check out as many magazines as you like! OverDrive Magazines also includes three years of back issues for your reading enjoyment.

Customers using Kindle or Kindle Fire devices are not able to download Libby, since Amazon has not made the Libby app available in their app store. Kindle users must access magazines via the Overdrive app. The Overdrive app will push customers out to use a browser to read magazines. Users can save magazines in the browser for offline access. While the OverDrive app does not have the ability to scale text, users can pinch and zoom to enlarge the reading area. Please consider switching to the Libby app if you have a compatible device. Using the Libby app will result in a more seamless reading experience and provides adjustable text to better view magazine pages.
