Watch Now! Megafloods of Lava and Water in Eastern Washington

Join Professor Emeritus Gene Kiver as we explore the vast flows of lava and some of the largest known floods of water to ever occur on our planet. The results of these processes are the unusual geologic features of Eastern Washington and adjacent areas. Hint: massive glaciers and the location of Yellowstone are involved! Professor Kiver received his BS from Case-Western Reserve and his Doctorate at the Univ. of Wyoming where he studied alpine glaciation, taught and did research on geomorphology and Ice Age history at Eastern Washington University for thirty-two years and, is on the Ice Age Floods Institute Board. He leads field trips in the Channeled Scablands and makes numerous presentations to inform the public of this important work.

Recorded July 26, 2023.
