- Civic engagement programming brings people together to discuss and learn issues of community concern, including: affordable housing, drug abuse, homelessness, Living-wage Jobs, and Mental health.
- Educational programming provides high-interest learning opportunities addressing community needs and interests including STEM and digital literacy.
- Early literacy programming develops skills in children from birth through third grade and ensures that their caregivers understand and employ the five practices of Reading Readiness (talking, singing, reading, writing and playing).

It had been startling and disappointing to me to find out that story books had been written by people,
that books were not natural wonders, coming up of themselves like grass.
