Mill Creek Library - Friends of the Library

Who we are

The Friends of the Mill Creek Library is a nonprofit organization that offers opportunities to volunteers to join in planning programs, library grants, and library furnishings. Anyone interested in our library and the people who support it is welcome to meetings, which are held from 9 to 10 a.m. on the second Wednesday of September, November, January, March and May; and 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of October, December, February, April and June at the Mill Creek Community Association, 15524 Country Club Lane, Mill Creek, WA.

What we do

We support and fund book discussions and provide essential support to the Mill Creek library.

Funding provides:

  • Books for summer reading finishers
  • Programming support for children
  • Special programs support for all ages
  • Extra purchases of books for book discussion groups
  • Fundraising activities include used book sales, membership dues, and donations

Book Discussion Groups

Nonfiction Group: Meets at Mill Creek Library at 6:45 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month

Fiction Group: Meets at Mill Creek Library at 6:45 p.m.  on the third Thursday of the month

BYOB (Bring Your Own Book): Meets the 1st Wednesday of the even months, 6:30 p.m., at the University Book Store in Town Center. Rant or rave about a book you have read and receive a list of books discussed (via email).

Titles of nonfiction and fiction books to be discussed are available at the library.
