Issues That Matter offers help with online and hybrid schooling

Sno-Isle Libraries’ next Issues That Matter: Pandemic Pressures event on Feb. 25, Surviving Hybrid & Online Schooling, aims to help parents whose kids have been learning at home while classrooms have been closed for the last year.

It hasn’t been easy for any of them.

Students have lost their familiar school routine and connections with teachers and friends. Parents and caregivers have had to juggle their own shifting work demands while helping their children constantly change gears with remote learning.

Then throw in hybrid school schedules, conflicting societal responses to the pandemic, uncertainty when in-person learning will return, and new apprehension for future learning. It’s no wonder that families are stressed out and stretched to the brink.

Join Sno-Isle Libraries in an online Zoom webinar from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 to learn how your family can weather the difficulties and uncertainty of education during the pandemic. Please register online.

A panel of local mental-health professionals and educators will offer suggestions, coping strategies and useful resources for dealing with the many stresses families have endured during the last 12 months.

This event will be recorded for later viewing on the Sno-Isle Libraries YouTube channel.
