Meet the new manager of the Lake Stevens Library

Sno-Isle Libraries continues to expand services out of the temporary Lake Stevens Library, one of the busiest community libraries for its size.

To guide its continued work connecting with Lake Stevens library customers, Sno-Isle Libraries has hired Antoinette Morales-Tanner as the next Lake Stevens Library manager.

She comes to Sno-Isle Libraries from a civic-center library in California, where she focused on building creative partnerships and library services for the community. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Pomona College and started a library career at the Loyola Law School library before working at the UCLA law library. She earned her master’s in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University.

“I'm excited to join the Lake Stevens community,” Morales-Tanner said. “The library is involved in so many innovative community partnerships, including the exploration of a permanent public library location.”

Morales-Tanner and her husband, Michael, a Spokane native, have planned their return to Washington for many years.

“I’m impressed by the breadth of services Sno-Isle Libraries offers,” she said. “World-class resources and creative programming that’s community oriented. Our library staff are extremely knowledgeable and are committed to providing excellent library service to the greater Lake Stevens community.”

The Lake Stevens Library is temporarily located at 2211 Grade Road. City officials and Sno-Isle Libraries are studying the feasibility of developing a civic center campus on Chapel Hill Road.
