What you see is what you get with new Sno-Isle Libraries Express Collection

Sno-Isle Libraries is offering a new digital lending service for ebooks, the Express Collection.

The Express Collection focuses on high-demand titles and New York Times bestsellers by popular authors, said Jessica Russell, Assistant Director of Technical Services – Collection Services for Sno-Isle Libraries.

The Express Collection offers 10-20 copies of 50 ebook titles. Compare that to the main Sno-Isle Libraries digital collection offered through Overdrive which has more than 300,000 copies of more than 200,000 ebook titles, Russell said.

Customers can browse or search titles for adults, teens and kids in the Express Collection’s 23 genres.

“Everything in the Express Collection is also available in our Overdrive collection,” Russell said. “If we add a title to the Express Collection, we will make sure it’s also available in our Overdrive collection.”

The Express Collection differs from normal Sno-Isle Libraries lending policies.

In order to live up to the “express” name, customers can borrow up to two items for up to seven days. Customers won’t be able to place holds on titles in the Express Collection, like they can in the regular collection. So, what you see in the Express Collection is what you get.

“We hope the Express Collection will have an element of surprise and delight,” Russell said.

To access The Express Collection, Sno-Isle Libraries customers can go to ebook.yourcloudlibrary.com/library/SnoIsle/, click the login button to enter library card information and borrow a title. A second button will download the cloudLibrary app. The page displays cloudLibrary items currently available.
