Where is the Darrington Library going?

Get ready for an exciting new chapter as the Darrington Library undergoes a major remodel to transform into an updated space for our community to enjoy!

During the construction, library services will continue to be available in a temporary location up the road at 1015 Seeman Street. This location is just a hop, skip, and a jump away, and will still offer the same great library services.

The library will close at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 18 through Tuesday, March 21 for the move. The library will reopen on Wednesday, March 22 at the temporary location and resume with the same library hours.

So get ready, Darrington! The library's remodel is set to bring a whole new level of excitement and community engagement to our beloved space. We can't wait for you to see the finished building later this year. You will get to experience all the amazing new features it has to offer including a barrier-free design with a welcoming entry, quiet reading places, a designated children’s area, and an outdoor space, while bringing in the natural landscape from Whitehorse Mountain and the surrounding forest.
