TEDxSnoIsleLibraries 2015: Creating New Futures

On Nov. 6, Sno-Isle Libraries made history stepping out with its first TEDxSnoIsleLibraries event. Thousands of people connected with the library in a new way and began creating new futures together.

Attendees to the TEDxSnoIsleLibraries 2015 describe their experiences

We embarked on the TEDx path based on our Strategic Focus. It was the perfect example of building literate, economically sound and connected communities and transcending library walls.

People from teens to seniors, and many walks of life, came together to explore new ideas. They joined us at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, 10 community libraries and four additional public viewing sites to be part of the event. Tens of thousands more are watching the 23 TEDx talk videos posted on this site. All of these audiences will have experienced what a library is and what we offer our communities. Because, at its essence, TEDx is a library without walls providing ideas worth spreading.

Based on the buzz of excitement and reports of the day, it was a tremendous success. We continue hearing from many who attended, participated, watched and listened that it was a "day of inspiration."
