Whidbey Reads is an annual program that brings Whidbey Island residents together to read and talk about a book. A series of public events focuses on themes related to the story. The shared experience serves as a springboard to explore commonalities and differences. The 2019 selection is Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore by Matthew Sullivan.
Whidbey Reads 2019 is a collaborative effort between Sno-Isle Libraries, Whidbey Island Friends of the Library groups, and volunteers from each community on Whidbey Island. Other partners include The Book Rack and Moonraker Books.
Whidbey Reads also is supported by the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation
