Take a peek at the progress of our new Lake Stevens Library!
- Getting Cozy: The windows and insulation of the exterior walls are being installed, which will keep the building energy-efficient and comfy in any weather.
- Tech Ready: The access flooring system is being installed, which will streamline access to power and data cables for maintenance and allow for seamless technology upgrades for years to come.
- The Great Outdoors: Preparations continue for landscaping, wetland restoration, and a dedicated outdoor learning space.
- Project Funding Update: $250,000 from federal community project funding was secured by Representative Suzan DelBene to complete construction on the new Lake Stevens Library. These funds are in addition to Sno-Isle Libraries contributions and the $3.6 million in state grants secured for this project.
The two-story, 15,000-square-foot building in the Chapel Hill neighborhood is inspired by community input and is scheduled for completion later this year.
