How do you use catalog filters?

With more than a million items in the Sno-Isle Libraries catalog, you can use filtering to narrow your search. Watch this to learn how!

  • When you search for an item in the catalog, you will see the total number of results at the top of the page. Use filters to limit the actual number of items you need to scroll through.
  • On a desktop, the available filters are on the left-side of the screen. On mobile devices, click on the filter icon (it looks like a funnel) to access those options. Click on each category to expand or hide options.
  • Don’t have time to wait? If you click on “Available Now” you can limit the results to items that are currently on the shelf at a library. Under “Format,” you can limit your search to books, audiobooks, eBooks, eAudiobooks, DVDs, and large print. The number in parentheses tells you how many items are available in that format.
  • Keep exploring for even more helpful ways to filter.
