The Friends of the Coupeville Library is a dynamic not-for-profit, volunteer organization providing essential support to the Coupeville library. Many members work on specific projects related to the library (book sales, landscaping, programs, etc).
The Friends of the Coupeville Library provide funding for childrens, teen and adult programming, rental for a temporary library during the course of our remodel construction project (in 2009-2010), History Day and various other projects. They also support the library with purchases such as a: copier, shelving, furniture and more.
The Friends of the Coupeville Library meet three times a year at the library - January, May and September. Please call 678-4911 for meeting dates.
Membership applications are available at the Coupeville Library. Yearly membership dues are: $5.00. Please make checks payable to: Friends of the Coupeville Library.
The Friends of the Coupeville Library raise money through the ongoing book sale in the library lobby, Farmers Market Book Sales at the Book Shed (Saturdays-April to October from 10-2pm), Coupeville Festival Book Sale (second week-end in August) and the Silent Book Auction in November.
The Friends of the Coupeville Library accept donations of books for their ongoing book sales. We accept hardcover and paperback books in good condition. Please, no textbooks, Reader's Digest Condensed books or old encyclopedias.
