Whidbey Reads is an annual program that brings Whidbey Island residents together to read and talk about a book. A series of public events focuses on themes related to the story. The shared experience serves as a springboard to explore commonalities and differences. The 2017 selection is The 100 Year Miracle by Ashley Ream. The author will speak to Whidbey Island audiences on June 7 and 8.
Whidbey Reads 2017 is a collaborative effort between Sno-Isle Libraries, Whidbey Island Friends of the Library groups and volunteers from each community on Whidbey Island. Other partners include Skagit Valley College, Best Western Plus Oak Harbor Hotel & Conference Center, The Book Rack, and Moonraker Books.
