Families can check out sensory kits to support children with autism or sensory processing differences, while library spaces feature adaptive technology and accessible equipment.
- Homeschooling Support - For families who homeschool, Sno-Isle Libraries offers a wealth of support. Parents can find new teaching ideas, borrow laptops and Wi-Fi hotspots, request custom reading lists, or use online databases for research and study. In-person resources include quiet study spaces, printing services, and a collection of educational DVDs and Easy MP3 books for young learners.
- Homework Help - Schoolwork can feel daunting in a new community, but Sno-Isle offers plenty of academic support. Students can access Brainfuse HelpNow for live tutoring, writing assistance, and study resources, or one of our many online encyclopedias for information on animals, art, social studies, and more.
- Prime Time - This free, six-week reading and discussion program fosters a lifelong love of learning while encouraging meaningful conversations about fairness, bravery, kindness, and equality. Families receive books, shared meals or grocery gift cards, childcare for younger siblings, and a welcoming space to read and talk together. Programs are offered in English, Spanish, and bilingually. Participating libraries include Oak Harbor, Edmonds, Granite Falls, Lake Stevens, Mariner, Mukilteo, Marysville, Mountlake Terrace, and Coupeville.
- Story Trails - Want to combine reading with fresh air and fun? Story Trails invite families to enjoy picture books while strolling through local parks. Perfect for children ages three to eight (but enjoyable for all ages), Story Trails encourage movement, literacy, and time outdoors. Visit our Story Trails page to see current titles. Participating libraries include Mukilteo, Oak Harbor, and Snohomish.
