Library computers with Internet access can be reserved online from home or at the library. You can also make a reservation by telephone using our automated system, please listen for the menu phone option "To Reserve a Computer using your Telephone" after calling your library directly. It's easiest and fastest to make a reservation online, however, the phone option is available for those that do not have Internet access or a computer at home.
You can reserve a PC for up to 2 hours per day. When you make a reservation, you can specify which type of computer you want. You have a variety of choices. Some of these are: 15 minute express stations, or 30 or 60 minute computers.
If you cancel a reservation before the reservation takes effect, no daily time is lost. If you sign off during the session, you only lose the time already used. You are allowed a 5-minute grace period to sign in to your reserved PC. If you do not sign on within that time, the computer you have scheduled becomes available for another customer.
You can reserve a PC up to 3 days in advance.
You are not required to have a library card in order to use a PC, however, if you do not have a library card, you will be issued a guest card. The guest card is good for one day. Library card holders are able reserve a computer more than 1 day in advance.
Minors utilizing a guest card receive access to the library catalog and research databases only. Minors who have a parent's permission can have filtered internet access. Adults, 17 and older, can choose full access.
