Databases, or eResources, contain information from trusted sources, including encyclopedias, newspaper and magazine articles, research and reference works and digital book excerpts. Sno-Isle Libraries subscribes to dozens of online databases. Normally, this premium content would cost you money to access, but with your Sno-Isle Libraries card they're yours to use for free.

America's Obituaries and Death Notices National
Newspaper obituaries and death notices from around the United States including the Seattle Times and Seattle Post-Intelligencer (1985-present).

Ancestry Library Edition
Genealogical information and records. Not available from home.

Biography and Genealogy Master Index
Provides citation (not full text) to print material containing biographical information on people from all time periods, locations and fields of activity.

EBSCO Integrated Search
Allows simultaneous searching of most electronic resources that Sno-Isle Libraries subscribes to.

HeritageQuest Online
Genealogical material including family histories, census records, genealogical serials, local histories, and primary sources in full image.

World Vital Records
An online genealogy site that helps people connect with their family heritage. Search for family information in a collection of more than one billion names in more than 8,000 hard-to-find databases. Advanced search technology makes accessing these vast amounts of data easy and quick.

A great place to begin your genealogical research. This is a categorized & cross-referenced index to genealogical resources on the Internet.

Family History and Genealogy from USA.gov
Official information and services from the U.S. government for genealogists and family historians.

FamilySearch
This site provides access to hundreds of millions of records on specific names and index to all of the resources of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

National Archives Genealogy
The National Archives and Records Administration website includes links to research topics in Chinese-American genealogy, Native American genealogy, and other historical resources. They continue to add images of historical documents to their site. These are accessed through the ARC search engine.

RootsWeb
From this single site you can jump to message boards, mailing lists, many search engines and databases, and the many volunteer projects hosted by RootsWeb.

Washington State Digital Archives
The Washington State Digital Archives is dedicated specifically to the preservation of electronic records from both State and Local agencies that have permanent legal, fiscal or historical value. Marriage, death, census, birth, military, and institution records are available in this collection.
