Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 as a way to recognize and honor the achievements, history, and culture of people of Hispanic heritage—past and present—and their great contribution to the cultural diversity with which we shape the future of this country. The theme of the 2026 celebration is “Unidos, Somos Más” (translating to “Together, We Are More”). Storytime Explorers is a family reading club where we will enjoy stories, connection and book-related activities. No need to read ahead in this book club! We will read aloud a story together and discuss it as a family, followed by activities such as process art, STEM challenges and more. This program is geared toward elementary school students and their families, but all ages are welcome.
Cuentureros (aventureros de cuentos) es un club de lectura familiar donde disfrutaremos de cuentos, platica y actividades relacionadas con los cuentos del día. ¡No es necesario leer de antemano! Leeremos los cuentos en voz alta juntos y los discutiremos como familia, después habrá actividades tales como arte de proceso, desafíos de STEM y más.
