English Language Learning Classes

There are many classes available in our community for those who want to learn English. 

Edmonds College – Offers ELA (English Language Acquisition Classes) for adult learners at a variety of levels from beginning literacy to advanced.  Classes are offered online or in a hybrid format. Testing and an advising orientation are required before you enroll in a class. Classes are $25.   

Everett Community College – Offers in-person, livestream, and online ESL/ELA classes. 

Skagit Valley College – Offers in-person ELA classes for adults. Students must apply online and schedule an appointment to register. Classes are $25.   

Literacy Source – Offers free ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Classes and one-to-one tutoring at variety of levels. Prospective students must be 18 years or older and plan to reside in the United States permanently. Their priority is to serve low-income immigrants and refugees. Pre-registration over the phone is required.  

Goodwill – Offers ESOL classes at basic and intermediate levels for people who want to develop basic English literacy and improve language skills for workplace. Classes are free and are available in-person and online. Prospective students must register before classes begin.
