Mountlake Terrace Library - Friends Mission Statement

Murray Levin 1916 – 2013
It is with a heavy heart that we say good-bye to long-time Friend, Murray Levin. Murray was a strong library supporter and community advocate. For many years he held the position of Treasurer for the Friends and was a main-stay at our book sales. Murray, age 97, passed away on April 26th.

What We Do

Funding by the Friends provides:

• Children's, Adult and Family programs
• Copy machine and paper
• Books for summer reading finishers
• Magazine subscriptions
• Literature racks
• Fundraising activities include ongoing book sales, membership dues, copy machine use, and donations.

How to Join

We welcome new members! Membership forms are available at the Mountlake Terrace Library or click on the link, Mountlake Terrace Library - Friends Membership Form , to download a printable form.
Membership dues are $5 per year for individuals and $10 per year for families. Please join us!

Information on Donating:

The Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library accepts monetary donations. These donations may be general donations or in memory or honor of a friend or loved one. Checks should be written to "Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library". If you wish, we will happily acknowledge your thoughtfulness to those you choose.

The Friends are also accepting used books in good condition for our ongoing book sale located in the library. We cannot except magazines, encyclopedias, year books, or musty and/or stained books. Proceeds from the ongoing book sale benefit adult, children's and teen programming.

Donations to the Friends of the Mountlake Terrace Library are tax deductible.
