From hags and heroines to peddlers and warrior poets, join us for an engaging journey through Ireland's mythic landscape with stories, poems and songs from the vast treasure house of Celtic lore. Storyteller William Kennedy Hornyak weaves myths, fables, folk and fairytales into highly engaging, thoughtful and well-crafted performances.
William has been a featured performer at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesboro, Tennessee and at festivals, theaters, community centers and schools throughout the United States. A former newspaper reporter in South America, Will combines an understanding of varied world cultures with a performer’s love for the rhythm and musicality of language. An advocate for storytelling as a change agent in personal and community life, he works with the Portland-based non-profit “Open Hearts, Open Minds” to bring theatre, storytelling and dialogue to Oregon’s incarcerated populations.
