Storyteller William Kennedy Hornyak weaves myths, fables, folk and fairytales into highly engaging, thoughtful and well-crafted performances.

William has been a featured performer at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesboro, Tennessee and at festivals, theaters, community centers and schools throughout the United States. A former newspaper reporter in South America, Will combines an understanding of varied world cultures with a performer’s love for the rhythm and musicality of language. An advocate for storytelling as a change agent in personal and community life, he works with the Portland-based non-profit “Open Hearts, Open Minds” to bring theatre, storytelling and dialogue to Oregon’s incarcerated populations.
