On Feb. 15, 2023, our community came together to see the first look at the Arlington Remodel design concepts. The designs presented are the first concepts and will be further developed based on community input and ideas.
The reimagined space will provide flexibility for programs and usable spaces for our community, including work and study rooms, meeting room, outdoor lounges, and designated teen and children areas. The new blue roof will be complemented by the removal of the embankments from the side of the existing building and an extension to the south side of the library.
The Arlington Library remodel will prioritize building upgrades, such as the HVAC system, and accessibility throughout the library and parking lot. The design concepts reflect the priorities Sno-Isle Libraries heard from our community through customers visiting the library, conversations with partners, and an online survey.
The project is funded by a combination of sources that include a generous bequeathment, the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation, and Sno-Isle Libraries.
