Cascade Ave – Now and Then

The home of Miss Zillah Skidmore (right) was built in 1902. The photo, taken in 1915, looks north along Cascade Avenue in Langley (mislabeled by the photographer "Edge-Cliff Drive"). The roads were pretty rough at the time!  Here is what the same section of road looks like now. You can see the roof of the 1902 house in the original photo in the upper right of the overhead view, but the trees block it in the street view image. The large addition visible in the overhead photo was built in 1988, and contains a commercial kitchen - the building has served as a restaurant since then. A lot of change in a little over 100 years!
