The landscape is changing — literally! Take a look at the latest progress on the new Lake Stevens Library.
Indoors:
- First-floor glass walls have been installed, including the folding glass doors to the meeting room designed for flexible use.
- Drywall is going up throughout the interior.
- Mechanical systems are in their final stages, including plumbing, electrical, data, and HVAC.
Outdoors:
- Exterior siding is nearly complete, giving the building a more finished appearance.
- Crews are grading the site to prepare the grounds.
- The outline of the new learning trails and outdoor learning area is taking shape.
- The soil is being enriched to prepare for planting. Full landscaping work begins soon!
Construction is anticipated to be completed later this year. Once construction is complete, Sno-Isle Libraries will begin preparing and moving into the building. This includes installing furniture and technology, stocking the shelves with more than three times as many books and materials as our current library, testing the building systems, and getting the library ready to welcome you.
