Closing a Chapter, Opening New Possibilities

We’re packing plenty of excitement into the next chapter of the Lake Stevens Library! Your new two-story library in the Chapel Hill neighborhood will include three times as many books, several study rooms, an interactive children’s area, and more ways to read, learn, and connect.

Before we can welcome you into your new library, we have some packing to do. Nov. 28, 2026, will be the last day of service at the current Lake Stevens Library building. During the closure, staff will move books and furniture, complete training, test building systems, and prepare the new library for opening. Thank you for your patience during this transition.

In the meantime, visit our neighboring libraries in Snohomish, Marysville, and Granite Falls for your library needs. We will share information about where to pick up your items on hold during the closure.

We’re looking forward to celebrating with you in the new library in 2027! Expect to see more updates and grand opening details as the big day approaches.
