Moving day, 1918

Woodfield Transfer and truck located in Edmonds on 5th Ave N between Main and Bell Street and the Edmonds Carnegie Library. Obviously, this company provided moving services as well as delivering wood and coal. The men in the photo are (from left to right), unknown, Claude (last name unknown), and Ed Woodfield. The bicycle hanging on the side of this overloaded truck is a very nice touch!

You can still see the Carnegie Library, the corner of which is just visible above the Woodfield Transfer building in the original photo. Now it serves as the Edmonds Museum! The museum sign hangs in the exact same location as the Woodfield Transfer building once stood.
