The Lenz family in their car, circa 1918. Frederick Lenz is driving. The car appears to be a 1914 Ford Model T Touring car, with 9 passengers stretching its capacity to the maximum! The Lenz family owned and operated a hotel on South Whidbey Island. The hotel pictured below, never very successful, burned down in 1930.
Some of the passengers and the driver appear in this earlier photo of the Lenz children from 1907: Frederick Lenz is at the front center. The family is memorialized in the name of a street in Langley.
